Wow. You can get (UPDATE: The Deal’s Over!) Borderlands 1 and Borderlands 2 will all the DLC for both titles at a whopping $21.99 USD on PC. Normally, the whole thing’s priced at a hundred bucks, so this is pretty damn impressive. Randy Pitchford may have made me cry about what he and Gearbox did to Colonial Marines, but this here is their jewel franchise. And it’s listed for a price that’s an absolute steal.
My brother (Arthur Burns) simply adored the original Borderlands. As did our resident curmudgeon, Rob. I liked it as well, but lost interest as I never had anyone to play with (late to the party as usual). Rob and I were talking today about how the original’s timing couldn’t have been better. It dropped in the US on October 20th, 2009 and at the time, found its stride when the novelty of the holiday titles wore off. Arthur loved the humor of the original’s DLC, and if there’s anything to be said about the second, it’s that Gearbox needs to do more of its DLC in-house, as the crew obviously has a solid sense of humor that adds a warped perspective to the Borderlands universe.
